What’s coming up …
Friday 14 February, 7.30 pm: Annual General Meeting, York RI, Queen Street, York. Official notification was sent out a couple of weeks ago.
Thursday 20 February, 7.30 pm: Annual YRISC Quiz, Tap & Spile, Monkgate. This year’s quiz is brought to you by Ed Kepczyk and Steve Parry, who have promised that the questions will be easier than ever before. There will be a £5 charge to cover food. All welcome. Please indicate intention to attend:
Sunday 2 March: Cleaning Day. Please come along to the club, with a brush and/or shovel if possible, to clean up in preparation for the sailing season.
Racing Rules Evening: We are planning an evening on the Racing Rules of Sailing. An essential (and remarkably interesting) learning opportunity. Probably April. Watch this space.
Sailing programme: Peter Craggs is putting the programme together now. Please let him know by FRIDAY 7 FEBRUARY AT THE LATEST if there are any dates when you will not be available for race-officer duty (or dates when you will be available, if that’s likely to be a shorter list).
Membership renewals. When it comes to sending in your annual sub, please note that we have a new system. Download a form from the membership page.
And finally … In case it’s of interest to anyone, we have just received notification from the Canal & River Trust that the new issue of their Boater’s Update is available on the web. They tell us it’s a “one-stop shop for up-to-date boating news”. Might be worth a look … HERE.
