York RI Sailing Club is situated in the village of Bishopthorpe just to the south of York and is easily accessible from either the A64 or York city centre. The clubhouse itself is located off Acaster Lane. Car parking is available by the road side just before the old railway bridge (the old railway line is now a cycle track).
The postcode for the club is YO23 2XB, but please note that Royal Mail do not deliver post to this address.
To reach the club: Park your car and walk towards the York–Selby cycle track, following a path to the left, just before the old railway bridge. When the path divides, take the lower footpath, with the railway embankment on your right, and follow it towards the river. At the end of the path you will find the gates to the club.
To bring a boat to the club: Access for boats is through an adjacent field. If you are not familiar with the routine (locked gates, livestock, etc.!), please contact a member of the club before attempting this. A message to firstname.lastname@example.org should do the trick.
